Welcome to our world - we play, we explore and we grow!
Beaulieu Nursery School (fondly called BeNS) opened its doors in 2013 and admits children in Grade Quadruple Nought, Grade Triple Nought, Grade Double Nought and Grade Nought. The nursery school plays a very important part in the development of children and gives children an opportunity to engage in a variety of educational and social activities.

Tracy Newman and her dedicated team of educators and assistants run a discovery-based perceptual development programme.
The early learning curriculum is systematic and geared to holistic development and to the preparation of skills that will be necessary for transition to the foundation phase of school (Grades Nought to Three).
“When we talk about ‘education’ in early childhood, we mean the opportunity to learn through play-based activities supported by caring adults, rather than to be ‘taught’ in a formal sense.”
To say “don’t play” is to say “don’t learn”. The right to play is enshrined in Article 31 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. It is a defining characteristic of childhood. Play is the principle means by which children learn about and explore the world around them, while at the same time developing cognitively, socially, emotionally, creatively, morally and physically.
It is important that no single aspect of the above should be developed on its own, nor should any area be overlooked. Every child experiences learning in an individual and personal way, at his or her own pace and within the nursery school’s safe and caring environment.
Uniform
Our pupils wear a BeNS uniform which takes the stress out of ‘what to wear’ each morning. We have tried to keep our uniform as simple and cost-effective as possible as we understand the cost of replacing uniforms for a growing child. We welcome paint and glue stains as part of their uniform; this is proof of a fun-filled day!
